As part of Scotland’s National Learning Disability Week 2018, Upmo students took part in a variety of different events; they performed at a gig in Bathgate, exhibited wonderful art works in the My Generation exhibition and showed off a range of talent at the Edinburgh Learning Disability Festival, which took place in Leith Links.
The weather was fantastic and lots of people came along to join in the fun. Our percussion group ‘Sounds Rhythmic’ performed during the morning, and were a big hit! We also got to watch some wonderful performances from the ‘Gorgie Go Getters’ who played some original songs and other groups from Positive Pathways, Garvald and Orcadia.
The Shopmo workshop were there all day running a stall and had lots of happy customers going home with some hand-crafted goodies.
There was lot’s to do including football, giant Jenga and Zumba which all of Upmo joined in on and showed off their moves!
In the evening at the Cricket Club there was a performance from the 'Upmo Experience' followed by some Karaoke.
A fantastic time was had by all!
