Upmo + Fruitmarket | Heads Up!

Upmo students were delighted to participate in the Heads Up! exhibition at Fruitmarket.

During Daniel Silver's exhibition Looking, a group of Upmo students attended to take part in a workshop inspired by Silver's work.

Using a kilogram of clay, participants sculpted a head using three different processes defined by Silver: sculpting with the clay facing away from yourself, while looking at your face in a mirror and blindfolded.

Heads created by a variety of different schools and community groups were then fired and put on display in Fruitmarket.

Our Gorebridge students went to visit and to create some more plasticine heads in the drop-in gallery workshops.

Thanks to Fruitmarket and the team who led the workshop for getting Upmo involved in this engaging project! Find out more about Heads Up! here.
